I didn't create enough drama in Bigg Boss: Vida

Miss Afghanistan 2003 Vida Samadzai, who got evicted from the reality TV show Bigg Boss on Saturday, says that she got voted out of the house because she didn't pick up fights with everyone.

The model and actress, who had a comparatively peaceful stay in the house and didn't involve herself in gossips or fights, thinks that their is no place for a quiet person on the show as the public wants to see drama.

"I think I got evicted cause I didn't create enough drama to entertain the audience like the others did, and probably that's what the people want to watch in the show. I am not the kind of person who fights and abuses someone," Vida told PTI.

However, she says she enjoyed her stay in the house and  has learnt a lot. "My experience in the house was enriching... I learnt a lot and have become a more balanced person now. Although the fights in the house were emotionally draining it made me a stronger person," Vida said.

Bigg Boss was a big mistake: Mandeep

Reality show Bigg Boss contestant  Mandeep Bevli, who got evicted from the house on Saturday, says taking up the show was a wrong decision. Mandeep, a television anchor, maintained a low profile during her stay in the house and says she didn't know the concept of the show before and got trapped in the house for five weeks.

"My experience was discomforting and eye-opening. I learnt a few things but I am shocked to see what all people do for money. I am amazed that people can stoop so low just to survive. Entering Big Boss house was a big mistake. I didn't know the concept of the show before and so I took the wrong decision," Mandeep said.

Talking about the contestants in the house, Mandeep said everyone is fake and is acting for the cameras. "There is nothing true and honest about the show. All the contestants are acting. This shows the desperation for money  in them. Their was an incident in the house when Pooja Misra (contestant) was fighting with Amar (Upadhyay) and I started laughing because I found it funny but everybody else asked me not to as we were asked to appear serious," she added.

My eviction on Big Boss was planned:Shakti

Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor feels that his eviction from controversial reality show Bigg Boss was planned as he did not live up to his on-screen image of a bad guy while on the show.
"People have a wrong notion that I am a bad guy. Bigg Boss people got me with 13 females because they also thought I will sneak into girls room at night and do something fishy. I respect women a lot," the actor told PTI.
"But since I was not getting into anything like this or any fight or controversy I got evicted. I think there is something planned about my eviction. Everyone in the audience feels there is something wrong. I thought I would win the show and so did the people," he claimed.
After spending 27 days in the house, Shakti got evicted from the show last night.
Initially, Shakti was the only male contestant to be locked up in the Bigg Boss house with 13 females and the actor said he was shocked when he learnt this.
"I was shocked as to what the makers had planned. I think instead of me they should have got someone like Tom Cruise... some stud...bachelor locked up with 13 females," he quipped.
"There was no awkwardness. But I think when I was around some females used to stop talking," he said.
On the time he spent in the house, the actor said, "I had a good time. Everyone respected me. They used to treat me like their elder brother or father. They used to share their problems and seek my advice."

'Bigg Boss' opportunity is no dramatic push to career'

Actress Pooja Bedi, who is best known  for her act in 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander', says, a reality show like 'Bigg Boss', does not necessarily give dramatic push to the careers of the participants. Actress-cum-reality TV star Bedi, is one of the celebrity contestants in the fifth season of 'Big Boss' that kickstarted from October 2.

"People, who come to 'Bigg Boss' to look for work, should  not come to the show then...because you don't get work generated out of 'Bigg Boss'. I do not think anyone should use this show as a platform or as a career move because I don't think that out of this show, anyone has been given a career," Pooja told PTI in an interview.

She added, "Look at Rahul Roy or Shweta Tiwari...she was as successful as she is today. There is no dramatic surge or jump in your career. Apart from few people, who have benefited like Rakhi Sawant...who have come out and made a career but that is because of her own initiative that took her to certain level."

"I think one must not get into the show thinking as a  great career move...it is a great social experiment. It is just that people across India get to see you as you are and there is a lot of warmth generated between the masses and you  as they follow you...vote for you...there is a closeness that is built," she said.

'Bigg Boss 5' a platform to explore challenges: Nihita

Alleging that her husband has been kept as a "hostage" in a Kathmandu prison, Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of serial killer Charles Sobhraj, has revealed that she is participating in the reality show 'Bigg Boss 5' to explore new challenges in life.

"The government over there (Nepal) is against us. They are not allowing us...giving us a fair trial. They are not accepting our legal petition. We are just demanding a fair trial. It is a basic thing that we are asking for. The government has illegally taken him (Sobhraj) into custody. He has been illegally convicted. He has been kept as a hostage in an illegal place. We would challenge the verdict in other court," Nihita told PTI in an interview.

Sobhraj, who is of Indian and Vietnamese origin, has many monikers like 'the serpent' and 'the bikini killer and  alleged to have committed at least 12 murders throughout Southeast Asia during the 70's, targetting mostly the Western tourists.

He has been behind bars in a Kathmandu prison since 2003 and fighting a legal battle in three courts there with each of them convicting him in connection with the murder of an American tourist in 1975. Nihita, 22, shot to fame three years ago when she reportedly married Sobhraj in Kathmandu prison claiming she had fallen in love with him.

Nihita said she agreed to participate in the fifth season of the reality show 'Bigg Boss' to explore new  challenges in life.

Bigg Boss 5 set to get big hosts & inmates

The fifth season of TV reality show  'Bigg Boss' promises to get bigger and better with two star hosts --Salman and Sanjay -- who will be welcoming 14 new inmates including probables like boxer Mike Tyson and pop singer Shakira.

The show sees celebrity contestants stay in a house for about three months, cut off from the outside world. They are overseen by a "mysterious person" known as 'Bigg Boss'. This time, the location of Bigg Boss house has been shifted to Karjat from Lonavala. Interior designer Shayam Bhatia has designed the 9,000 square feet house. This year there are two separate bedrooms as against the single bedroom last time where all 14 housemates stayed.

The bedrooms have been done in shades of green and fuchsia with a hint of white, brown and yellow. The confession room varies with a shade of royal green and the jail concept is back and black.

The beautifully designed open kitchen is connected to a dining room that extends to the garden area. The outdoor spot consists of a pool, the activity area, gymnasium and the kitchen sink. This season there will be over 55 cameras following every move of the contestants 24x7.

Like last year there will be a special bedroom for the  Head-of-House who will get special privileges. Also, the show will also see two hosts for the first time --Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Salman, who hosted the fourth season, is the only celebrity who will be repeating the feat for the second time.
