B'wood turns out to party in Lady Gaga style

Host of B-town celebs,including superstar Shahrukh Khan, turned out for American pop sensation Lady Gaga's maiden Indian performance on the last day of the exclusive Formula

One after-parties.The Grammy-winning singer, wearing an outfit by designer Tarun Tahiliani, entertained a crowd of 1000 VVIPs at the Jaypee Integrated Sports Complex Sunday night, tickets to which were priced as high as Rs 40,000.

Gaga had said earlier that her performance will bear an Indian influence and the guests attending were looking forward to it."I met Gaga, she is amazing, so beautiful and honest...We exchanged a lot of good things about life. I told her that I started listening to her because of my daughter, because she is a huge fan. I am looking forward to her performance,"
Shahrukh said before attending the party.

The King Khan, who came in past midnight even though wife Gauri had come a lot earlier, looked dapper in a black suit.Party host Arjun Rampal said, "I am very nervous. I have been waiting for this day. I want everyone to remember this party. Gaga will perform one single which she has never performed. She will be singing alongwith a sitar player. She has really worked very hard and has been rehearsing all day long."

Among the guests were Anil Kapoor and daughter Sonam, Fardeen Khan, Imran Khan, Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu,Sanjay Kapoor, Priety Zinta, Sussane Roshan, sisters Riya and Raima Sen and filmmaker Sudhir Mishra."I feel so proud that something of this sort has happened in India. The race was fantastic and I really enjoyed myself.I am looking forward to partying now and I am Gaga fan so looking forward to her performance. My favourite track is Judas," said Deepika, who attended the party with Siddharth Mallaya.

Actress Bipasha Basu shared the excitement, saying, "Race was awesome! I am excited about everyone wants to see her and I am really excited about meeting her. My favourite track is Bad Romance," Bipasha said.Imran, who was accompanied by wife Avantika, said, "I am not really a big fan of Gaga, I am just here for my friends and to have a good time."

Lady Gaga dons a shimmering at Indain concert

Lady Gaga is known to prepare her outrageous outfits for her performances way beforehand but her cream coloured Tarun Tahiliani dress for her maiden Indian concert was an impulsive decision.So much so, that the designer himself had no idea that the American pop sensation would don his creation for her performance Sunday night at the Formula One after-party hosted by Arjun Rampal.

Tahiliani had sent Gaga a number of outfits from his collection, from which she chose the cream number with Swarovski crystals for her performance, pushing aside the dresses she had brought with her already. "I got a call from Mehr (Arjun Rampal's wife) saying that Gaga wanted to see a few sarees. So I had sent her a few outfits and our trademark drapes worn with cholis.

"She was so overwhelmed by the dresses that she chose one among them for her performance, leaving the ones she had brought with her already. I had no idea she would be wearing one of my creations for the night!," Tahiliani told PTI. Gaga, who teamed the shiny dress with flowy blonde hair,even announced on stage that she was wearing an outfit by the Delhi-based designer, calling him the best in the country.

"Its great to be acknowledged by a global pop icon like her. I haven't met her yet, but I am going to meet her soon and gift her more beautiful dresses from my collections," said Tahiliani.

Lady Gaga will not attend 'Ra.One' premiere

Superstar Shahrukh Khan, who was looking to have pop diva Lady Gaga for a song in his film 'Ra.One' and also for its premiere in London, says since they were not able to reach her, she will not come for the event.

By roping in international pop star Akon for the song 'Chamak Challo', Shahrukh created ripples and the song has become a sensation. However, not stopping at this, Shahrukh was also in talks with the international sensation pop singer Lady Gaga about collaborating on a song.

"We were looking at speaking to Gaga's manager about  doing a song and attending the premiere on October 25 atLondon. We were not able to get to or speak to the management.  But as there was no time, all this will not happen," Shahrukh told reporters here. 'Ra.One', a superhero film, is set to release on October 26.
