Aamir Khan names baby boy Azad

Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, who became the proud parents of a baby boy earlier this week, have named him Azad Rao Khan after the actor's great grand uncle and freedom fighter Maulana Azad.

"Hey guys, most excited to share with y'all that we have finally chosen a name for our baby boy... Azad. Azad Rao Khan. I left the final choice to Kiran, and she has named him after my great grand uncle Maulana Azad, the great freedom fighter, whom the family is most proud of.

Aamir Khan's next with Rani, Kareena

The title of Aamir Khan's next with Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor will be called Talaash.

Many names like Raazdar or Dhuaan had been doing the rounds since the Reema Kagti-directed project went on the floors.

But, the producers say they were not the working titles of the underproduction film, for which Aamir is collaborating as a co-producer with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The trio worked together in Dil Chahata Hai 10 years ago.

Aamir will be seen after a long time with Rani Mukherjee and opposite Kareena Kapoor after 3 Idiots.

Aamir Khan to host talk show on TV

Actor Aamir Khan is the latest Bollywood superstar to debut on the small screen as a talk show host. Aamir will anchor a show based on on social issues on Star Plus from early next year. "The show is about India and real life stories... stories of common people...real people. I am sure people will connect with the show. It is not a fiction show. One can call it a talk show," Aamir told reporters here today. "I am very excited about the show.

I am learning new things," the 45-year-old actor said. The show will be broadcast simultaneously in eight languages. "Real characters touch people and so we are showing them on the show. We hope the show will be a clutter breaker.

Aamir has the ability to move people with his experimentation and creativity," Star India CEO Uday Shankar said. Prominent Bollywood figures like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, Hrithik Roshan, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan have been associated with television in different roles.

The release of ‘Dhoom 3′ postponed

The producer of  Dhoom 3 Aditya Chopra has said that, “Because of production and post-production work, the release of Aamir Khan-starrer 'Dhoom 3′ has been postponed”.

The film will now hit the theatres in 2013.The shooting begins from November-end this year.

Earlier the film was slated for a 2012 Christmas release. Since the shooting and the post-production was expected to take some more time, producer Aditya Chopra and director Vijay Krishna Acharya (also known as Victor), in consultation with Aamir, have decided to delay the release.

“While the shooting will finish in time, we expect the post-production to take much longer…did not want to compromise on the quality of the film just to meet the release date,” Victor said in a statement.

The 'Dhoom’ series centres around bike chases, handsome thieves and daring theft plans.After the success of 'Dhoom’ (2004) and 'Dhoom-2′ (2006), there is much buzz in B-town about the next sequel.

Aamir would be seen as the baddie in the film while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra would be continuing with the pair of 'Jai’ and 'Ali’.

'3 Idiots' all set to team up!

After the success of 3 Idiots, Aamir Khan had wished to work with director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra again. According to sources,Aamir has agreed to do Hirani's next movie, to be produced by Chopra.

Sharman Jshi too has endeared himself to Chopra's production house. Besides, he's also currently working on Ferrari Ki Sawari, helmed by Hirani's erstwhile assistant Rajesh Mapuskar.
Aamir and Sharman are also good friends,they had worked together in Films like Rang De Basanti and 3 Idiots.

"Raju's the kind of director who won't begin his movie until he's sure of the script.
However, Hirani's next film with Aamir and Sharman isn't likely to start so soon. Though sources say the director is planning to start this film in the latter half of 2012.

Salman is number one box office star: Aamir

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has showered praises on Salman Khan and called him number one box office star. "I feel Salman is ahead of me. Considering the way his recent release 'Bodyguard' has broken all box office records if anyone, who is a number one box office star, then it is Salman," Aamir told reporters here last night, after launching the music of Sunil Bohra's forthcoming film, 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster'.

  

"He has proved with this movie that he is ahead of all of us. I am happy and my best wishes are always with him," he said. Salman and Kareena Kapoor starrer 'Bodyguard' that released on Eid, surpassed box office records of '3 Idiots' and 'My Name is Khan'. Salman was in the US for a nerve surgery when the movie received such a massive opening.

  

"I had a word with him and his health is much better now. I had given the news of massive opening of Rs 21 crore. I had sent a text to Alvira and asked her to pass the message to Salman after the surgery. I wanted to be the first one to give him the good news," Aamir said. Even though Aamir and Salman have worked together for 'Andaz Apna Apna', the two stars have expressed their desire to work together time and again.

  

"I would love to work with Salman...we have a good tuning and it will be fun working together. But till we get a good script or something that excites us we will not come together for a film," Aamir said. About his friend Sunil Bohra's film, 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster' Aamir said, "I am here to give my best wishes to him and the team. The title of the film is nice and the promo and characters look interesting."

Aamir boost the morale of Team Anna

When the mood at the Ramlila ground was very somber after government once again back-track on their earlier commitment, the arrival of Aamir Khan boosted the sagging morals of all those present there.

He was cheered by the huge crowd. He said that, " I fully back the Jan Lok pal bill that was drafted by the civil society." Aamir Khan said he believes that the draft of Lokpal bill should be debated at a length.

Aamir Khan has been supporting Jan Lokpal Bill. He was in  touch with Team Anna. He is the first big-ticket star to extend support to Anna Hazare. Since Anna iss sitting on fast,Om Puri and stanup comedian Raju Shrivastave have also visited Anna.

Aamir is of the opinion that the Prime Minister should be brought under the purview of the Lokpal, the anti-corruption cell of CBI should merge with Lokpal and the lower bureaucracy should also be brought under the ambit of the Lokpal.
