Audiences eagerly await the release of Desi Boyz

Eros International's dramedy Desi Boyz is already the cynosure of  eyes given that the film reunites the hit comic jodi Akshay Kumar and John Abraham on screen after a gap of 7years.

The film also marks the directorial debut of Rohit Dhawan, son of acclaimed director David Dhawan.

The two actors go back a long way after their partnership in Garam Masala –that went on to become the biggest Blockbuster of 2005.

Talking about reuniting the Garam Masala duo says Rohit, “Akshay was on board from day one, when I was still developing the story idea. A two-hero movie is never easy to write and it took me almost two years to put this project together. Once I felt I had justified the presence of both the protagonists, I took the script to John who's been like a buddy since I worked as an assistant director on dad's film, Hook Ya Crook (2010). He was convinced immediately. “

Apart from generating a whole lot of curiosity here on home turf,Desi Boyz is also estimated to do brilliantly abroad since the lead actors of the film have a huge fan base in the overseas market.

Says a trade analyst"The plot of the film is novel..and the promos are a hit on the small screen..People can't wait for the film to release ,especially since Garam Masala was such a huge hit and this offering looks even more promising...Akshay and John are huge names overseas and the film's success is inevitable going by the popularity of the songs and curiosity over the film"

Confirms producer Krishika Lulla "It was a dream to get Akshay and John together after years. We have such a talented director on board as well. But I must add that the real hero of the project is the script. Desi Boyz is a complete family entertainer."

Starring Akshay Kumar,John Abraham,Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh , Eros International's Desi Boyz comes to a theatre near you 25th November 2011.
