Advaita Kala, who has penned the script of forthcoming Vidya Balan-starrer 'Kahaani', is planning to write a novel on the same story line, albeit a bit differently. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, 'Kahani' is a story of a pregnant woman's (Vidya Balan) search for her husband through the bylanes of Kolkata.
The film, a thriller, begins with London-based, six-month pregnant Vidya Bagchi's arrival in Kolkata amidst the Durga Puja festivities. With nothing to rely on except fragments of her husband's memories, all clues seem to reach a dead end.
"Advaita is writing the story. She is going to write it a bit differently it won't be like the film... as people would have seen the film ...the screenplay and would get bored. She has a plan to write a novel in a different way...so that will be another interesting thing to wait and watch. She has a different take...her thought process is totally different to the film, which will be good," Ghosh said in an interview.
Ask the director if he is fine with this idea of novel, and he says, "Ya..its ok. As all she (Advaita) has in her mind is to write it. I am sure she will not do anything that will harm the film."
The film will hit cinema houses on March 9, while the novel should release by the end of this year.
